Jason had to attend a conference in DC while in grad school and loved the little bit of time he got to explore during that trip. For about 7-8 years he’s talked about us going back together and we finally made it happen!

Metro – considering traffic, lack of parking, and cost to renting a car we opted to get metro cards and use that the whole trip (even from the airport) – for each of us we did the “7 day short trip pass” and it probably would have been cheaper to load it up and pay at as we go, but it was only $40 per person for this option
Bikes/E Scooters – you’ll see bikes & scooters EVERYWHERE to rent, had it been only me and Jason we probably would have used them a good bit to get around and do less walking but the rest of our party isn’t too fond of bicycles
Rental Car – available but does not seem like a good idea at all unless you’re staying outside of the city
